King West Area
King Street West is a major commercial way, which runs east to west from Queensway, to the Don River, named after King George III, who was the reigning British Monarch when the street was constructed. It is the home to the busiest streetcar line in Toronto (Toronto Transit Commission) averaging about 50,000 passengers daily. Many of the well-known attractions that run along King Street to include: Roy Thomson Hall (A concert hall located on Simcoe St.), Le Meridian Hotel, Canada’s Walk of Fame, Princess of Wales Theatre (owned by Ed and David Mirvis), and St. James Cathedral Toronto (An Angelican Church). King Street is also home to many prestigious offices such as: Toronto Stock Exchange, First Canadian Place, Toronto-Dominion Center, and BCE Place. Lately a large number of clubs and restaurants have been opening to accommodate to Toronto’s night scene, located near Air Canada Center, Distillery District, Hockey Hall of Fame, and The Humming Bird Center
