Liberty Village is a neighbourhood in the downtown Toronto area. It is surrounded by King Street, Dufferin, the Gardiner Expressway and Strach Avenue. The Village went through significant growth in 2006, by its expansion in new apartment buildings, and office buildings with rapid development. It�s a very trendy neighbourhood for young professionals near the Toronto core. Most of the offices are located in the West of Liberty Village and new condo developments are also cropping up in the East. Liberty Village is known for its successful Art and Design studios which is creating many new employment opportunities for the growing number of citizens in the area. Old Irwin toy factory is also located in this area as both a commercial building and historical one. Many of the homes here are just being renovated in Liberty Village. The newly developed loft-housing converted from some of the older industrial buildings in the area is beginning to attract new homebuyers.
